October 11. What a day that was.
First of all, we were all psyched to know that there won't be any afternoon classes anymore, just a film in SM City. Everybody was excited, who wouldn't be? Marion said I would ride in her car along with Allyza and Lisa but sadly, Lisa was absent that day. So, we took in Bella, and we were all happy. When we got in Marion's car, we were all thinking the same thing: MJ is so CUTE! MJ is Marion's little brother. He's really cute especially when he talks. As we were preparing to leave the school grounds, Marion asked us if we want to have a take-out at McDo's first before we proceed to SM City with her treat. The three of us were shy and were passing on the question to each other. Marion's mom told us not be shy though. It took us a long time to decide because we were not even sure if we would allow her to treat us. Well, eventually we reached McDo in Jaro and gave our orders. I had a Coke Float, Bella ordered a Caramel Sundae, and Ally got a Float similar to Strawberry (I forgot the name) and we all shared one Large Fries. Marion had a Chicken Burger and I guess her brother did too.
We then arrived at SM City, passing at the back entrance where Ms. Layson told us to proceed. When we saw our classmates, they were surprised at seeing our food. They started complaining to our teacher that they should also buy food, seeing us with our Mcdonald's plastic. That was the time we realized bringing food in was a mistake. The four of us were scared now. We saw Sr. Paz confiscating a group of friends' drinks. That's it. We were doomed.
We tried to hide the food as much as we could. I really felt guilty breaking the law. I felt like a fugitive as we turned our backs on Sister every time she passed by. Whew! I was relieved a little when we reached the 3rd floor without getting caught. We were still hiding our food because Sister was there just a bit near from where we stood. Finally, with much sweat poured out from my body, and probably my parters-in-crime's too, our conscience kicked in. We decided to turn ourselves in since we wouldn't enjoy the movie while we're practically eating 'illegal' food. So we mustered enough courage to go up to Sister. She was still talking to another student when we interrupted her. Marion explained to her why we had food with us and I guess she was listening, but after Marion was done, she didn't say anything.
Weird After that, she walked over to other teachers as if nothing happened. We were thinking what would happen now, now that we told Sister. But then, it was time for us to enter the movie theater. No one seemed to look at us suspiciously anymore, and the guilt at the back of our minds were now starting to disintegrate. The feeling was refreshing. We had fun inside the theater. Sharing the food with others, we had a great time. The movie itself was cool too.
So, those were the things that made that day memorable. Memorable enough to have me blog about it 2 months later. :)
