Aug. 11, 2010- A Fun-Filled Day
This is one special day to remember for the rest of my life. First, we got to see the whole ribbon-cutting ceremony up-close, something that is already an honor for me. During the ceremony, the girls of Sir Pedroso danced to Josh Groban's "You're Still You", Jed Mabilog cut the ribbon and a hundred helium-filled gold, white and blue balloons were flown into the air! Next, Kristina a.k.a. Izzay, and I helped Anthonet with the treasure hunt game where you plant your flag to the spot where you think the treasure is hidden. After that, we played Try Your Luck where you pay 20 in paper money and pick a folded paper with the name of your prize. The three of us got 2 ball pens each. Well that's okay 'cause these were not plain and boring pens! We also played the Teepee game though they inappropriately used a modern tent but I guess we can all forgive them for that. We won lots of candies and I got a small bear with a little Christmas hat :D So after that, I temporarily parted with Anthonet and Izzay and went with Lisa and Russell for a while. I bought something and we went around for a short time to look for Anthonet. While we waited, we sat down by the huge umbrellas where we played with string spray cans that were left on the table. Eventually, we found Anthonet and had our lunch in our classroom. After that, we decided to go to the Scary Room. It would have been scary if you were all alone but it was fun inside. The 'monsters' haven't showed yet but the rest of the audience were scrambling for spaces in the back and in the middle. Well, Lisa, Anthonet, Macie and I were just sitting at the side commenting and stuff. They really did a good job with the decorations and the costumes. It had an environment theme with a message to stop all the carelessness we do to nature. We then went to the museum above the Information where we found an awful lot of old and valuable Assumption items and photographs. The four of us: Russell, Anthonet, Lisa and I also met four other women who were Alumnae of the Batch '71. What was funny was that they asked us to take pictures of them and after we did, WE asked THEM to take pictures of US with the same pose as THEM. They reminded us of ourselves only much, much older. We took a lot of pictures because there were just so many things to picture! So after our awesome museum tour, we watched the movie,Coraline. It had a creepy theme but it was also funny and had some suspense in it. When the movie was done, we went back to the fair and I bought Cerealicious! Something that I always buy on Family Day. While Lisa was buying at Waffle Time, an annoucement went out that all those who are wearing white will be imprisoned at the Jail Booth, which is just the back of a rented truck. Well, we got scared because you either have to pay P100 to bail yourself out or spend 30 minutes in there. We hid in the Grades 1-2-3 restroom for a few minutes until we heard another announcement that didn't apply to ourselves. As Lisa was buying once again, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Angela running toward me! She's one of my best friends but transferred since last year to Ateneo. I was so happy that she came but that wasn't all. While we were just standing there, talking, we saw Crystelle! She's also one of my best friends who transferred schools. It almost seemed like a reunion of some sort and I was very happy because it started to seem like the 6th grade again. We then went back up to the museum so that Angela can take a look for herself. We had fun and eventually, we had to go home. It was truly a fun-filled day to remember for I got to be reunited with my closest friends and enjoyed with them. Well, that is all. :D

July 24: A Day at Lisa's Place

Lisa,Me,Anthonet
Well, actually it was the 2nd time I've been to her house. We had a lot of fun! I went to her house because we had to finish our project in HCRA. Well, we had to wait for her aunt to send us the data we needed so while we waited, we did other things. Well first, I met her mom again after a long time and then we surfed the 'net, particularly Youtube. and watched videos that made us laugh our hearts out! We watched expertly-edited videos that didn't make any sense while we ate bowls of corn and drank Coke. Yum! After that Lisa decided to make lunch because she was hungry. We went to the nearest store and bought 2 eggs. I don't usually cook at home, so it was a learning experience for me. We cooked rice mixed with eggs, sausages, onions and some other ingredients. It tasted delicious! We then played Left4Dead while eating. It was a nice, suspense-filled game(Hope those zombies won't get to me!). We then received the data we needed and started editing it. After editing it, we went out to look for a place to print. We went outside her subdivision but there didn't seem to be any so we went to the plaza(Ooh Adventure!). We walked around for a while but didn't find one, so we crossed the street and found ThinkLogic, our savior that day. Inside, we found Aileen, a fellow classmate of ours who is also doing her assignment. After that we went back to Lisa's house and surfed the 'net, particularly in Omegle, where we laughed so hard again. A little while later, Anthonet, a friend of ours and Lisa's neighbor, called and told us that we should pick her up in her house. We thought for a while and then set out for Anthonet's house. We knocked on her gate and called out her name for almost 5 minutes without anyone answering it. Finally, she heard our calls and came for us. She let us in her house, which was a first for me, and I got to meet her little cousin again. It was fun meeting her for she was so cute and adorable! After that we went back to Lisa's house where we had our Logitech Webcam Fun. Again, we laughed so hard at the auto-edited pictures we took of ourselves, that I didn't want to go home. Sadly, I had to and that ends my Day of Fun with Lisa and Anthonet. :D
August 5: A Day to Remember

The last day of exams. That's just one of the reasons why I love this day. Science was hard. Definitely hard. Journalism on the other hand was the easiest test of all as opposed to CAF which took place the day before. Since there were only 2 subjects left that day, we were allowed to go out for lunch. We went to SM City for a quick shop, lunch and had some fun. Since I am a part of the WYA(World Youth Alliance), we were asked to meet with the others at the GS AVR to meet with the head of WYA in the Asian-Pacific area. Since my two other classmates and fellow WYA members couldn't come, I headed back to AC by myself. Since the meeting was at 12:30, I was panicking because I thought I'd be late but it turns out it hadn't started yet. I also ran into my friends from the other section who were also part of the club. Meeting them had relieved me and made me feel even happier. We met Ms. Rennelyn Tan and her two other friends/co-members and they were funny in a way. She asked us questions and then gave us brochures about the organization. We then had a simple activity and had our pictures taken with them. It started to rain and we realized we were late for the "Healing/Relaxing Concert". Most of us didn't want to go because they thought it would be some priest or religious person singing holy songs that might bore us to death. Well, they were WRONG. The rain was getting worse and my friends' bags were soaking wet because they left it under the big umbrella. You might think a big umbrella can save you from the rain, well think again! Anyway, two of us,including me, brought our umbrellas and we safely made it to the St. Anne's Hall. What shocked me at first was that the place was jam-packed. My friends were luckier since they had their seats reserved for them but I was the odd one out. I stood there for like 2 minutes when I finally found one. And that was when I noticed the stage for the first time. It was full of musical instruments and not just any musical instruments, they were the ones used in a rock band! I thought, 'Wow, this is something you don't see everyday in a religious school's auditorium.' When they came out, I was impressed, they were a REAL rock band! They were known as 'Himaya' with Alvin Barcelona as the lead singer. Aside from being a rocker, he's also a preacher and had also been a teacher and principal before. So basically he's a rockstar and a preacher rolled into one. The first sign that they were not boring was when they played 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'. It was awesome! He told us different things about God and our faith and taught us religious songs with a rock twist and some actions. It seemed like the things they preached were connected to the songs they played. Some of these songs were: I'm Yours, High, 'Wag kang Bibitiw, Faithfully, You Raise Me Up and many more. They also showed us two videos, one about a limbless guy who has no excuses in life and the other about Susan Boyle's life-changing audition. We also lit candles in the dark while singing a song. To tell you the truth, that moment seemed so dramatic that I hated myself for not bringing the camera and taking a picture of that unique moment. One of the last songs played was Pinoy Ako which got everybody to their feet, including me. We were all jumping and singing just like in a real rock concert which I do think it was. It was the first real concert I've been to and definitely not the last one. Well that ends my perfect August 5th. It was truly a day not to be forgotten, for on that day, things were made clear to me. Things about life and the things that we were meant to do. Good Night,Everybody!
